When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she has a bit of a time fitting into their more “conservative” lifestyle and the uptight Mother Superior. Deloris eventually focuses her energy on the choir, and using her voice and disco moves, she breathes new life into the church and community. All of the attention blows her cover, but this time when the bad guys come after her, she’s got her sisters behind her.
