HANDS & FEET OF CHRIST

A&M UMC is committed to sharing the love of Christ in the local and global community. To accomplish this goal, the church is involved in several projects. A&M UMC’s Mission Team helps coordinate the church’s outreach ministry. In addition to the numerous community outreach programs we support on an informal ongoing basis, the Ministry Team has selected four Focus Ministries: ZOE Ministries, Habitat for Humanity – BCS, the Brazos Church Pantry and Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas.

ZOE is a distinctive three-year program, developed in Africa that empowers orphans and vulnerable children around the world to overcome extreme poverty, become fully

self-reliant, and learn of God’s love for them.

B/CS Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. B/CS Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally.

FEEDING OTHERS

We support the Brazos Food Pantry through monthly food & monetary collection drives and volunteer recruitment efforts.

Grab a teal Brazos Church Pantry bag and return it on Communion Sunday with

your donations.

As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6-18.
