The Rolodex: Steve Vincent

January 27, 2021 8:00 - 9:00pm  |  A&M United Methodist Church Annex Building

417 University Drive, College Station, TX, USA

The Rolodex is an event that connects college students to adults here at A&M UMC. It is intended to give college students wisdom in pursuing a career, insight on life after college, and ways to stay in touch with their faith in everyday life. The event is a conversational TedTalk atmosphere, where the speaker shares their story and wisdom, and then students have the opportunity to ask questions. Speakers will cover a variety of vocations and journeys, but keep the event rooted in their faith and purpose.

Steve is a graduate of Texas A&M ’73, a successful businessman who’s first career spanned thirty-four years in the electric utility industry. In his second career, his efforts have been redirected to provide state of the art electric systems to improve the health and education of the neediest people in the world. His altruistic organization, Power From the SON has provided electricity to hospitals, schools, and orphanages in Liberia and Honduras. The team is currently working on refurbishing the electric system of a hospital in Maua, Kenya. He is the author of When Faith Lights the Way: The Quest to Restore Electricity to a War-Ravaged African Hospital and coauthor of The 2020 Elections, A Survival Guide.
