Academy Lecture: Dr. Brett Giroir

The Academy Lecture Series at A&M Methodist Church is pleased to announce that Dr. Brett Giroir will lead an interactive discussion on “The COVID-19 Pandemic:   Science, Policy, Ethics, and Politics from the Room Where it Happened” on May 30, Memorial Day, at 9:45 AM in Fellowship Hall.  

Dr. Giroir served on the White House Coronavirus Task Force and as testing czar under former President Donald Trump and as Assistant Secretary for Health in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Admiral in the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. 

Giroir, a pediatric critical care physician, and resident of College Station, worked in the Texas A&M System for seven years and continues to be active in health care policy and philanthropy through many organizations.
