Youth Activities,
Projects, Retreats and Missions
In
the fall there are fundraisers, Youth Council retreat, football games,
Ultimate Frisbee, lots of playing
around outside, and enjoying the great weather ... plus more.
There is a
focus on youth mission projects and future goals during the winter
months. Christmas brings Advent
activities and a Boxer Exchange Party. Over the Christmas
holidays, Senior High Students go on a ski trip to Colorado every other year.
Later in the Winter you can look forward to Super Bowl
Parties and a big Valentines Banquet /Silent Auction fundraiser.
Spring
brings a Good Friday service and a "Sonrise" Easter service which
are led by youth. In
March and April there is a
Mexico Mission Trip to Juarez over Spring Break, BreakThru retreats,
Senior Sunday worship service, also led by youth, and this is
immediately followed by the big Senior Roast of
graduating students ... great skits, plus more!
During the
summer you can not miss Youth Week, UMARMY (our senior high mission
trip), Junior High Mission Trip, District Camp, local
mission projects, homemade Spaghetti Luncheon with Cake Auction fundraiser, and
the youth try to stay cool with "Swim-n-Scripture" bible studies on
Wednesday nights.
Food, fellowship, and growing
stronger in faith are a huge part
of all of the above .....
“Do not let anyone look down on you because you are
young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in
faith, and in purity.”
