Hello!
The
youth group of A&M UMC is a great place to get involved. In our youth
group, you can grow in your faith, serve others, and make great friends.
Faith
Whether you’ve been raised in a church or whether
you simply want to check out the whole church and God thing, this is the
place for you. Here, you can ask questions and discover what you
believe. We go on several retreats throughout the year and our Sunday
Night UMYF and Wednesday night Bible studies are great places to grow in
your faith.
Service
Have you ever had the joy of helping someone truly
in need? We go on several amazing mission trips throughout the year.
During Spring Break, our senior high group travels to Matamoros, Mexico
to help build a church! Over the summer, we participate in JUMMP and UM
ARMY which are weeklong mission trips. Whether we are serving far away,
or in Bryan/College Station, sharing the love of Christ through our
service is an important element of our youth group.
Friends
This is a place where you can develop deep
friendships. Whether it’s going on our ski trip, playing guitar hero
III, doing lock-ins, or simply just hanging out before Bible study,
becoming better friends with people just seems natural here.
Weekly
Activities
Sunday
School:
Sunday, 9:45am & 11:00am. Meet in youth commons
UMYF:
Sunday, 6:00 pm -8:15pm. We eat a snack supper,
play games, worship, have a lesson and then have small group
discussions.
Bible Study: Wednesday, 6:00pm -8:15pm. Bring your dinner and
arrive at 6:00 to hang out for 30 minutes. At 6:45, we divide up by
gender and age level to do Bible studies.
So it goes like this:
Dinner: 6:00-6:45
Bible Study: 6:45-7:45
Open Gym: 7:45-8:15.
I pray that this youth group can be a place
where you feel loved, grow closer to Christ, and simply just have a good
time.
