Clay Horton
graduated from Texas A&M in December 2006 with a degree in
Communication. Clay served as the youth intern for A&M United
Methodist this last semester. Clay’s hope for the youth group is
that each youth will grow closer to Christ, discover how to use
his or her passions to serve God, and become a strong Christian
leader. Clay grew up in Coppell, Texas where he was active in
UMYF. He loves summer camps and mission trips. He has been a
counselor at a hiking camp in Colorado for his home church for
five years and also worked half a summer at Sky Ranch Summer Camp.
He’s participated on mission trips in New Jersey, Costa Rica,
Mexico, and various cities in Texas. While attending A&M, Clay
served as an officer, philanthropy chair, and chaplain in his
fraternity, a mentor in a freshman leadership organization which
focused on servant leadership, and was a director for a leadership
conference. He enjoys hiking, photography, and thanks to the youth
group, now has a love for Guitar Hero II. He’s extremely excited
about working at A&M United Methodist and is looking forward to
working with the youth counselors and parents to continue to make
this youth group a place where the youth experience God’s love and
grace. |
