Partners in Mission
College and Youth Ministries have been making annual trips
to Matamoras, Mexico on mission trips organized by
Partners in Mission.
The
missionaries goal is to spread the Gospel while working
with the local Methodist churches on some of their
construction projects on their buildings. By going into
Matamoros and helping build Christ’s church, we are
helping the local churches in Mexico to reach out to
those in need and change the country, one community at a
time. |

Imagine No Malaria
Every 30 seconds a child in Africa dies
from Malaria. The United Methodist church has partnered
with other organizations to raise money to purchase bed
nets for the people in Africa. Every $10 buys a
net that a family of 4 can sleep under protecting them
from mosquitoes that carry malaria. A&M United
Methodist Church made this campaign a priority and has
had several fundraising events with the A&M athletic
teams and has other events scheduled. Visit our

Family Promise
Family Promise is a national organization
that is committed to helping low-income families find permanent housing
and jobs. The Family Promise of Bryan/College Station is a group of
churches that provides families that have lost their homes with food and
a place to sleep while they get back on their feet. Every
two to three months A&M United
Methodist Church will house up to 14 people for one week, provide
dinner, breakfast and a sack lunch and activities for the children and
adults. Ways members can help is by cooking meals, helping set-up
and take down the beds, spend the night with the families, wash linens
and play with the children. Please visit the

United Methodist Women (UMW)
UMW is open to any woman who
indicates her desire to belong and participate in the global
mission of the Church through the United Methodist Women.
UMW meets monthly on first Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall.

Christian Alliance for
Humanitarian Aid -
Portable Medical Container
If you have ever wondered
if God is really involved in anything, the project of the
three Portable Medical Clinics is a witness to His glory.
The finished Portable Medical Clinics were loaded and
transported by ships bound for Haiti. They were loaded with
medical supplies, food, and water. Christian Alliance
is planning to send a total of twelve Portable Medical
Clinics to Haiti. That number includes the first one we
built two years ago, which was already in Haiti. The INVEST
Team thanks everyone who helped on this project, whether
with a prayer, physical labor, or monetary donation.
