Journey
to Christ
What is the “Becoming Disciples” process?
Jesus’ first disciples grew in their understanding of him during their
apprenticeship with him. “Journey to Christ” offers Seekers an
opportunity to expand their understanding of who Jesus the Christ is and
to grow in their relationship with him. We will offer some
experiences that are expected to encourage each Seeker’s faith and
understanding to grow, but it is the Holy Spirit of God who opens their
eyes of faith. For more information you may contact the church office at
846-8731 or
office@am-umc.org or
contact Guy Pry at 696-4420 or
gpry2@suddenlink.net . |

Nothing but Nets
Every 30 seconds a child in Africa dies from Malaria. The
United Methodist church has partnered with Sports Illustrated,
NBA Cares, and the United Nations Foundation to raise money to purchase
bed nets for the people in Africa. Every $10 buys a net that a family
of 4 can sleep under protecting them from mosquitoes that carry
malaria. A&M United Methodist Church made this campaign a priority and
has had one fundraising event with the A&M basketball team and has other
events scheduled with both the A&M soccer team and volleyball team.
